Watsonville Gang Shooting 1/30/13 8.50a AF

A shooting in Watsonville last night is though by police to be gang related.      Just after 8:15 pm on Brewington Avenue, Watsonville Police officers discovered a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound, after receiving reports of shots fired.    The victim was reportedly walking down Brewington Avenue when a vehicle passed him and someone got out of the car.     The assailant approached the victim and fired multiple shots at him before fleeing in the car.      The victim was struck once, and was transported to a Bay Area trauma center with a non-life-threatening injury.   Anyone with information on this possible gang shooting is encouraged to contact the Watsonville Police Department.
