A traffic stop in Prunedale resulted in 2 arrests for illegal possession on Monday. Monterey County Sheriff’s Deputies pulled over a vehicle at 2:20am on San Miguel Canyon Road at Highway 101, and found that the interior of the car smelled strongly of marijuana smoke. A search was conducted on the car driven by 49-year-old Robert Dewey Reeder, who admitted to having half an ounce of crystal meth for sale, and marijuana. His passenger, 37-year-old Meshell Jimenez, admitted to illegal drug possession as well. Sheriff’s deputies discovered the methamphetamine, 3 ounces of marijuana and illegally possessed prescription drugs. A later search of Reeder’s home uncovered ¾ a pound of marijuana, paraphernalia, digital scales, and surveillance equipment, as well as a gun. Reeder and Jimenez were booked into the Monterey County jail on various charges.
