Monterey student investigated, released 01/17/1 9:45a.m. TDH

Police action was taken in seaside yesterday, after reports were made of a possibly violent student.   Monterey police received reports Tuesday night, that a student at monterey high school had made threatening statements on a social media website.  Monterey police officers took the student into custody for questioning yesterday, as the student left a seaside residence.  After an investigation, (and a search of the house), the student was released without charge.  Authorities are saying that the case is a good example of proactive crime-tip-reporting.
