vehicle arson, SC 01/13/13 11p.m. TDH

authorities in santa cruz now believe that a couple of vehicle fires last week were set intentionally.  the first incident occurred on tuesday, on the 5-hundred block of walnut avenue.  a B-M-W was found ablaze, and 2-suspects were seen fleeing the area.   the fire was extinguished by santa cruz firefighters, as was another fire the following night.  that blaze was reported on the 2-hundred block of button street.  no injuries were reported in either incident. investigators are trying to determine if the the arsons are connected.  anyone with information about either fire is encouraged to contact the santa cruz police department.
