weapons possession (Sal) 01/13/13 11p.m. TDH

a 17-year-old boy was arrested saturday in salinas on weapons and drug-related charges.   the suspect was pulled over near north sanborn road and freedom parkway for mechanical violations.  officers on the salinas police department's violence suppression unit searched the vehicle, and allegedly found illegal prescription drugs and a 22-caliber revolver.  the     17-year-old was arrested, and booked into monterey county juvenile hall.
