New parks director 01/10/13 8:45a.m. TDH
A new leader has been named for the monterey county parks department. Michael ferry was named as the new chief ranger and parks director. Ferry has served in the parks system for more than 3-decades. He began his career in monterey county, and has been most recently been serving as the parks superintendent for the monterey district of the state parks system. Ferry is set to take on the role February 1st.
