Not guilty plea: DUI manslaughter 01/10/13 8:40p.m. TDH

A Gonzales woman accused of causing the deaths of 3-people in a D-U-I accident last year, has been formally charged.    43-year-old Vivian Ramirez is accused of being drunk and distracted last February, when she crossed into the opposite lanes of highway-101 and crashed into multiple vehicles.  The wreck north of king city left 3-people dead and several others seriously injured.  the victims were part of a funeral procession.  After a nearly year-long investigation, Ramirez was formally charged this week with felony vehicular manslaughter and D-U-I casing great bodily injury.  Ramirez pleaded not guilty—she is set to return to court next month to schedule a preliminary hearing.
