check fraud arrest 01/10/13 7:45a.m. TDH

An Oakland resident has been arrested on suspicion of running a fraudulent check ring on the central coast. scotts valley police officers arrested alexis staten, and identified 2-other Oakland residents as suspects.  Lawrence stone and retascha Harrison are being investigated for their involvement in the manufacture and use of fake checks.  The investigation is on-going.
