the farmers’ market is likely to return to santa cruz county fairgrounds, after suspending the market more than a year ago. complaints from neighbors influenced the organizer of el Mercado popular to move the market to pajaro VALLEY high school. The santa cruz county fair board of directors approved an agreement this week, that will allow the market to continue for another 5-years. the farmers market at pajaro high is expected to remain on Saturdays, but move the Sunday market to the fairgrounds. The farmers market generates an estimated 100-thousand dollars annually for the fairgrounds. The market could return as soon as janury 20th.
