Freeze warning 01/10/13 7:45a.m. TDH
Santa cruz residents are being advised to protect their plants and animals from the cold over the next couple of days. The national weather service issued a freeze warning for santa cruz county, tentatively set to expire tomorrow afternoon. Temperatures are predicted to drop below 32-degrees, and remain below freezing for extended periods of time. The cold front is being attributed to a shift in the jet stream that usually carries weather from the gulf of Alaska, but is now blowing from over Canada.
