JC Penney Funds Local Y Programs 1/09/13 10.50a AF

A $10,000 grant given to the Central coast YMCA will help to provide after school care for hundreds of children again this year.     The grant was given to the organization by the JC Penney Company, which has donated money to their after-school programs for the last 9 years.    The Central Coast YMCA provided the service for nearly 1,000 children in the Salinas area last year.    This generous grant will allow the Y to continue funding their programs, with the goal of providing safe and affordable care for the children of working parents in the region.
