Three More Released from Bank Trespassing, Vandalism Charges 01/09/13 9.50a AF
Three more defendants have had their charges dropped in a case associated with the occupation of a bank building in Santa Cruz in 2011. Robert Norse, Becky Johnson, and Desiree Foster had the charges of felony vandalism and misdemeanor trespassing dismissed in court on Tuesday. A total of 7 people have been released of the charges relating to damage that was done to the Wells Fargo building on River Street in a 3-day occupation by protesters. Four others are still standing trial. The judge also imposed a $500 sanction on the Santa Cruz County District Attorney’s office for failure to release evidence to the defense in a timely manner.
