Murder victim idd 01/08/13 9:30p.m. TDH

Authorities in salinas have identified the victim of a homicide that took place near acosta plaza.   47-year-old salinas resident manuel martinez lopez was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds when salinas police officers arrived.  He was declared dead at the scene.   Police do not believe lopez was affiliated with a gang, and are trying to determine why he was targeted.
