Parks grants (MCO) 01/08/13 9a.m. TDH

some parks in monterey county are getting a financial boost from grant money that has been announced.  The funds from the monterey peninsula regional park district are expected to be used to restore native plants, make improvements to a couple parking lots, and fund restoration work at point pinos lighthouse.   The grants were announced for the heritage society of pacific grove, C-S-U-M-B, pacific grove museum of natural history, carmel valley recreation and park district, as well as the city of pacific grove.
