Pacific grove/seaside cop share 01/03/13 10a.m. TDH

The city of pacific grove is moving forward with a proposal to share police officers with the city of seaside.  At their meeting yesterday, Pacific grove city council members approved a recommendation to advance the plan, by instructing the city manager to hold meetings with the police officer’s association and the police management association.    The 2 cities already share a police chief.       If the talks are favorable, the cities could start sharing street officers soon.   Pacific grove has a similar agreement with the city of carmel.
