Gilroy New Years Shooting 1/2/13 6.40a AF

A Gilroy man was shot to death on New Year’s Eve.     Gilroy Police officers were called to a home at the intersection of Alexander and Old Gilroy streets around 9:30pm.    There the officers discovered a 51-year old man lying in the street.    The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was shot multiple times.   He was pronounced dead on the scene.     Investigators are seeking to identify the occupants of a dark colored sedan seen speeding from the area following the shooting.     Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Gilroy Police Department.
