Groping Suspect id’d 12/20/12 5p.m. TDH

Watsonville police released more information this morning on the 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of a series of sexual abuse attacks over the past 3-years. jose Navarro was identified as the suspect.  The watsonville resident faces 3-felonies and a misdemeanor, for allegedly groping more than 20 victims, (some of them young girls).  The case has been actively pursued by the Watsonville police department since a sketch was given in 2010.  the department even deployed undercover female officers in an attempt to catch the man they came to call “the groper.”     Navarro was arrested Wednesday in marina without incident, and was booked into santa cruz county jail.
