Guilty: murder 12/20/12 9:45a.m. TDH
A 23-year-old man was found guilty of 1st-degree murder yesterday, for the shooting death of a salinas man in 2008. juan paul pulido was also convicted by a monterey county jury of attempted murder and street terrorism. In November, 2008, Pulido and another man knocked on the door of jose alanzo’s lewis circle home, and murdered alanzo when he answered. The other suspect, Jorge alejandro Fernandez, testified against pulido, however Fernandez will still face a life sentence as part of his plea deal. Pulido is scheduled to be sentenced February 19th. The shooting is believed to have been retaliation for an earlier gang-related shooting.
