House fire, salinas 12/18/12 7:45a.m. TDH

A fire caused about 5-thousand dollars worth of damage to a salinas house monday.  the early-morning fire broke out at about 2 a.m., outside a house on the 3-hundred block of rianda street.   2-people were home at the time, but they were able to escape without injury.  The flames were knocked down by salinas firefighters before the fire spread to the inside of the residence.  The blaze is believed to have started in a trash can outside the house.
