Mountain biker id’d 12/17/12 11a.m. TDH

A man who died while mountain biking in the santa cruz mountains Saturday has been identified as 46-year-old Lawrence pearl.  The san jose resident was biking with a friend on the long ridge truck trail, when pearl told his friend he felt sick.  The friend went to get the car, but when he returned, pearl was being given C-P-R by a passerby, and was later pronounced dead at the scene.  Pearl’s cause of death is expected to be released following the results of an autopsy this week.
