Surfer id’d (Moss L fatality) 12/17/12 9:30a.m. TDH

A man that was found unconscious on his surfboard Friday at moss landing and later died, has been identified as 61-year-old mark Mackenzie.  The salinas resident and owner of the 4-m ranch was found by fellow surfers slumped over his board.  After pulling him from the water onto the jetty, c-p-r was performed, however Mackenzie was pronounced dead after being taken to watsonville community hospital.  An autopsy is expected to be conducted this week to determine his cause of death.
