Garlic press federal sentences 12/17/12 9a.m. TDH

43 of the 46 people facing federal charges (in connection with operation garlic press) have been sentenced.  The convicts received prison terms of various lengths, ranging from 6 months to 20 years.  operation garlic press was conducted in 2011 by multiple law enforcement agencies.  118-suspects were arrested, and despite the federal convictions, most cases in California are still pending.
