boy scout councils merging 12/16/12 TDH

2 local boy scout councils have announced plans to merge at the end of the year.  the monterey bay area and santa clara county councils of the Boy Scouts of America are combining the council into one body.  the new troop will be named the silicon valley monterey bay council, and is expected to serve more than 20-thousand scouts in santa cruz, monterey, san benito, and santa clara counties.
