Foreclosure scammer sentenced 12/13/12 10p.m. TDH

A Salinas woman has been sentenced to more than 3-years in prison, for scamming central coast homeowners out of more than 120-thousand dollars.  Blanca maciel was convicted of 13-felonies in September.  She had led her victims to believe that they could avoid foreclosure on their houses if they paid her money.  Maciel was sentenced thursday to 40-months in prison by a Monterey county superior court judge.  She was also ordered to pay restitution to her victims.
