salinas stabbing 12/09/12 8p.m. TDH

2-people were stabbed in salinas early sunday morning, and authorities believe the crime could have gang motivations.  the 2-victims were brought to salinas valley memorial hospital at 3:22 a.m.    both had sustained multiple stab wounds to their torso areas.  they were taken into surgery, and although their condition was considered "guarded" sunday evening, the 2 are expected to survive.    the incident was believed to have been sparked by an argument on the 2-hundred block of katherine street.  the attackers were not immediately located, but 2-people are believed to have participated in the stabbing, and detectives are trying to identify them.
