residential burglary arrest (Sal.) 11/25/12 11:30p.m. TDH

a 20-year-old man was arrested saturday after a failed attempt to burglarize a salinas home.  salinas police officers responded to the robbery-in-progress at 6:20 p.m.   upon arrival to the dallas street house, officers spotted miguel belmontes fleeing from the scene.  belmontes brandished a gun at the resident, and fled from officers.  he was taken into custody around the corner, (with the assistance of a police k-9 unit).
