paddle boarders must pay launch fee 11/17/12 TDH

it just got more expensive for stand-up paddle boarders to launch from the santa cruz small craft harbor.   harbor officials posted a sign saturday announcing that paddle-boarders do have to pay the 10-dollar launch-fee.     the fee is charged to all boaters who launch from the harbor, but until now no effort has been made to collect the fee from the recreational paddlers.  harbor officials say they should have been collecting the fee all along, but the change in focus is expected to be addressed at a public meeting scheduled for november 27th.   for more information on that meeting, visit the website: santa cruz harbor dot org.
