homeless man murdered in SC 11/17/12 TDH

the death of a 51-year-old man in santa cruz friday night is being investigated as a homicide.  the name of the victim is being withheld as the investigation continues, but santa cruz police have arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with the murder.   the victim was found just before 11-p.m. at a homeless encampment south of depot park on center street.   it marks the 3rd homicide in the city of santa cruz this year.
