Update: Mcpherson increases lead 11/15/12 7:30p.m. TDH
An updated vote count for santa cruz county’s 5th supervisorial district has increased bruce mcpherson’s lead over his opponent, eric hammer. After the initial election-day vote count, mcpherson led by just 26-votes. But after counting many of the outstanding provisional ballots, mcpherson now leads the race by 245-votes. Santa cruz county clerk gail pellerin said there are about 88-hundred mail-in and provisional ballots county-wide that are yet to be counted. The election results must be certified by 5p.m. December 4th.
