Salinas traffic safety grant 11/15/12 6:40p.m. TDH
The city of salinas has been awarded a 90-thousand dollar state grant. The grant from the California office of traffic safety is earmarked to fund a year-long program aimed at reducing accidents. The money will be directed towards training programs at the salinas police department, for initiatives including conducting field sobriety tests, traffic “sting” operations, red light violations, and other areas of traffic enforcement.
