HWY-1 project update 11/12/12 6:40p.m. TDH

Officials with the santa cruz county regional transportation commission have announced that night work on the highway-1 auxiliary lanes project will be halted for the next 2 to 3 weeks.  Work will continue during the day, as crews excavate dirt, build the foundation and retaining wall (on the north side of the highway), and construct support structures on both sides of the highway.  Officials are also urging drivers to use caution when travelling through construction zones.
