Lay day for coldwater classic 11/02/12 noon TDH

Lack-luster swell friday has forced an off-day for surfers in the o’neill coldwater classic.  A “lay-day” was called after the small waves and incoming tide made organizers think that saturday might be a better day at steamer lane.     Round-2 is scheduled to resume at 7:45 a.m. saturday, when Kelly slater will take on local santa Cruz surfer Jason Collins.
