Cal fire battalion chief death 10/29/12 11p.m. TDH

A cal-fire battalion chief died suddenly Saturday evening in santa cruz, after losing consciousness while on assignment.  Santa clara county battalion chief rob van wormer was conducting an investigation into a past fire, when he lost consciousness.  The 24-year cal-fire veteran was transported to Dominican hospital, where he was pronounced dead.  The cause of death is yet to be announced.  Rob van wormer was 47-years-old.
