Trial date set—gun threats 09/19/12 8a.m. TDH
A trial date has been set for a man who caused a disturbance at a courthouse in watsonville following a child custody hearing. 48-year-old brian funk had threatened to retrieve a gun he claimed to have hidden outside the santa cruz county court building, but, after a lockdown of the area, no gun was ever found. Funk had just lost custody of his son at the hearing this past may. Funk was arrested for making criminal threats; he is scheduled to go to trial November 13th.
