California state university leaders have voted to raise tuition by 5-percent next year, if tax measures supported by governor brown fail to pass this November. The c-s-u board of trustees’ finance committee approved the so-called “contingency strategy” during a meeting yesterday in long beach. under the plan, tuition would go up for both in-state and out-of-state students (if proposition-30 fails to pass). A proposal to increase certain student fees was put off until November.
