Man Found Shot in Salinas Home 9/17/12 11a AF

A man was found shot to death in a home in Salinas on Saturday, and police are searching for a possible shooter.      Shots were heard by neighbors on the 200 block of Las Casita Drive just after 2pm, and police responded to investigate.   After an initial search of the area, nothing was found.   Two hours later, police received an anonymous tip about a dead body inside the house.    They returned at saw a man on the floor through a window.   Upon entering, they found the victim’s body riddled with bullets.    The identity of the victim has not been released.    The shooting is not thought to be gang related, nor does it appear to be random.      Anyone with information is asked to contact the Salinas Police Department.
