THE SALINAS POLICE DEPARTMENT IS CURRENTLY SEARCHING FOR A SUSPECT IN AN ATTEMPTED KIDNAPPING. A MAN TRIED TO KIDNAP A YOUNG GIRL ON HER WAY TO SCHOOL EARLY THURSDAY MORNING AROUND THE INTERSECTION OF TOWT AND LAUREL STREETS IN SALINAS. THE SUSPECT PULLED UP TO THE GIRL IN HIS VEHICLE, ASKED HER TO GET IN, BUT SHE SAID NO. THE SUSPECT CONTINUED TO FOLLOW THE GIRL, SHE EVENTUALLY RAN AWAY AND PHONED HER MOTHER. THERE ARE LITTLE DETAILS AS FAR AS THE SUSPECTS DESCRIPTION SO FAR, IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THIS INCIDENT YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO CONTACT THE SALINAS POLICE DEPARTMENT.
