Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

After years of praying for rain, Santa Cruz County has had more than its fill. Looking for something to bet on now that the Super Bowl is in the past? Try betting on whether 17 will stay open!

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

A SALINAS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WAS RANSACKED BY THREE YOUNG HOOLIGANS WHO CAUSED 25,000$ IN DAMAGES. ON SUNDAY, A 15 YEAR OLD, 11 YEAR OLD AND YEAR OLD WENT ON A VANDALISM SPREE AT VIRGINIA ROCCA BARTON SCHOOL ON LAS CASITAS DRIVE. THE THREE KIDS BROKE INTO A CLASSROOM BY SHATTERING THE WINDOW, AND SOMEONE AT THE SCHOOL HEARD THE SOUND AND CALLED 9-1-1 AT 5 P.M.     Damage done to the classroom consisted of paint on walls, ceilings, desks, computers and televisions. The 15-year-old boy was arrested on charges of vandalism and probation violation, while the other children were cited and released to their parents.
