Shooting victim ID’d 08/17/12 6a.m. TDH
The victim of a fatal shooting in the soquel hills has been indentified as 28-year-old soquel resident jeff smith. Smith’s body was found yesterday morning just after 3 o’clock, (on the 3-hundred block of nicasio way). The homicide is being investigated by detectives with the santa cruz county sheriff’s department. It marks the 8th murder of the year in santa cruz county.
