Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

AT LEAST 50 TEAMS OF RUNNERS ATTENDED THE ANNUAL RELAY FOR LIFE, SETTING UP CAMP FOR 24 HOURS AT ANDY HARDIN STADIUM IN SAN BENITO HIGH SCHOOL. THE EVENT HAD EACH TEAM PUTTING ONE RUNNER ON THE TRACK AT A TIME FOR A WHOLE 24 HOUR PERIOD.  SO FAR TEAMS HAVE REPORTED RAISING 103 THOUSAND DOLLARS AT THE EVENT, BUT REACHING THE GOAL OF RAISING 130 THOUSAND DOLLARS IS STILL POSSIBLE.  THE LAST DAY FOR TEAMS TO TURN IN THEIR EARNINGS IS AUGUST 31ST. THE GOAL OF THE RELAY IS TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY.
