Deadly Greenfield Stabbing 07/11/12 7:30a AF

A fight between two men at a Greenfield apartment last night left one man in custody and the other man dead.    32-year-old Joaquin Garcia Soto and 20-year-old Israel Santos Ramirez were arguing at Ramirez’ apartment on the 800 block of Oak Street around 6:45pm.   When the fight escalated, Soto pulled out a knife and stabbed Ramirez multiple times in the upper body, killing him.   Greenfield Police were directed to a residence on the 200 block of Borzini Circle, where they found Soto, who had sustained minor stab wounds.    Soto was transported to a hospital and treated for his wounds.  He was then arrested for the charge of murder.   Investigation into the case is still ongoing.
