A Castroville man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of shooting a gun into the air. In addition to unlawful discharge of a firearm, Angel Sandoval, junior is facing other charges related to the incident, because he is a convicted felon (who is banned from possessing guns). Monterey county sheriff’s deputies allegedly seized a 9-millimeter handgun during the arrest. Sandoval was booked into monterey county jail.
