Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

A SANTA CRUZ POLICE OFFICER ATTEMPTED TO PULL OVER A VEHICLE YESTERDAY, WHICH ENDED IN A SHORT CAR CHASE AND THE ARREST OF SEVEN LOCAL GANG MEMBERS, THREE OF WHICH WERE JUVENILES.  THE OFFICER ATTEMPTED TO PULL OVER A CAR AT SOQUEL AND SEVENTH AVENUE, WHERE  THE VEHICLE STOPPED. AS THE OFFICER WAS EXITING HIS VEHICLE, THE CAR SPED AWAY INTO SANTA CRUZ COUNTY WHERE IT STOPPED ON RODRIGUEZ STREET.  ALL SUSPECTS IN THE VEHICLE WERE THEN ARRESTED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.  SHORTLY AFTER, OFFICERS FOUND A STOLEN LOADED .22 CALIBER REVOLVER IN THE STREET NEAR THE CAR’S FINAL STOPPING POINT.  THE MINORS WERE BOOKED INTO JUVENILE HALL AND THE MEN WERE TAKEN TO SANTA CRUZ COUNTY JAIL ON COUNTS OF EVADING A POLICE OFFICER, WEAPONS POSSESSION AND PARTICIPATING IN A STREET GANG, AMONG OTHER CHARGES.
