Bomb squad called, arrest (K.C.) 06/19/12 11:20p.m. TDH

A 37-year-old man was arrested Monday after explosives were found at his king city residence.  Dean king was taken into custody when a probation search of his elsa circle home by monterey county sheriff’s deputies allegedly turned up 2 military “artillery simulators,” which are used to simulate explosions during military exercises.  Members of the santa cruz county sheriff’s department bomb squad were called to destroy the devices, after it was determined that the explosives were potentially dangerous.  king was booked into monterey county jail.
