It’s been 10 years since a sitting president or vice president visited the monterey peninsula, but that changed tuesday when Vice president joe biden arrived at monterey peninsula airport. The vice president is set to attend a fundraiser in carmel wednesday morning for the obama re-election campaign. Tickets for the speech at the sunset center (on san carlos street and 9th avenue) started at 100-dollars. for a 15-thousand dollar donation, attendees will get some 1-on-1 time with the vice president. Biden reportedly stayed at the hyatt regency monterey hotel and spa Tuesday night. He is expected to leave the peninsula later wednesday.
