Pilot died from heart condition 06/15/12 5:30p.m. TDH
The monterey county coroner has announced that a pilot that died during a plane crash in salinas on june 1st died of a heart condition, before the plane went down. 73-year-old carmel resident charles russel Westcott had just taken off from salinas municipal airport when he suffered a fatal heart attack and died before hitting the ground. Westcott was the only person aboard his personal, experimental plane.
