Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

ALL  BUT  1  OF  THE  INSTRUMENTS,  THAT  WERE  STOLEN  EARLIER  THIS  WEEK  HAVE  BEEN  RECOVERED.    THE  NORTH  MONTEREY  COUNTY  BAND PERFORMED  SUNDAY  AT  THE  CASTROVILLE  ARTICHOKE  FESTIVAL,  AND  AFTERWARD  ALL  OF  THE  INSTRUMENTS  WERE  PACKED  INTO  THE  SCHOOL’S  TRUCK…WHICH  WAS  STOLEN  BEFORE  THE  VEHICLE  WAS  UNLOADED.   THE  TRUCK  WAS  FOUND  IN  HOLLISTER  WITH  ALL  BUT 1  SAXOPHONE  STILL  INSIDE.  THE  BAND’S  FREE  LAST-OF-THE-SCHOOL-YEAR  CONCERT  REPORTEDLY  WENT  OFF  WITHOUT  A  HITCH TONIGHT.

THE  STOLEN  EQUIPMENT  WAS  VALUED  AT  MORE  THAN  200  THOUSAND  DOLLARS.
