A food processing plant in salinas was evacuated monday morning, after concerns about a possible chlorine spill.  salinas firefighters responded to the new-star fresh foods distribution and processing plant on work street after receiving a call from someone claiming to be a sick employee.  About 200 employees were evacuated, however no chemical spill was located, and company officials could not locate any sick employees.  salinas firefighters reported that the chlorine present was well within safe limits, and the odor could have been leftover from a weekend cleaning crew.
