A 23-year-old capitola man has been ordered to stand trial on murder charges, 5-months after prosecutors say he killed a man at his virgil lane apartment. Marcos chavez is accused of using a clothes iron and a knife to kill 36-year-old Ronald aaron carpenter during what authorities believe was a botched robbery attempt to rob carpenter. chavez remains jailed on the murder charge and several enhancements. A trial date has not yet been set.
