The CALIFORNIA  COASTAL  COMMISSION  HAS  APPROVED  A  FINAL  FOREST  PRESERVATION  AND  DEVELOPMENT  PLAN  FOR  THE  PEBBLE  BEACH  COMPANY  AND  THE  DEL  MONTE  FOREST.  SAYING  THAT  SOME  SENSITIVE  SPECIES  LIVE  IN  PORTIONS  OF  THE  635-ACRE  MONTEREY  PINE  FOREST,  IT  HAS  BEEN  DECIDED  THAT  THAT  AREA  WILL  BE  PRESERVED….HOWEVER  THE  EXISTING  LODGE  AT  PEBBLE  BEACH AND  THE  INN  AT  SPANISH  BAY CAN  EXPAND,    A  NEW  HOTEL  100-ROOM  CAN  BE  BUILT,  AS  CAN  90  NEW  HOMES.  THE NEW  CONSTRUCTION  WILL  NEED  TO  BE  ADJACENT  TO  EXISTING  DEVELOPED  AREAS.
